Electrical Service Manager

Job Description

Evergreen Innovation Group part of the DPR Family of Companies is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager who will carry out all duties required for the successful operation service and maintenance of common area electrical functions of a facility midrise and highrise condominium buildings multifamily dwellings office parks and shopping centers. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of all functional areas of a typical business (accounting production information systems and marketing) operating in todays dynamic environment. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Proactive and reactive management of all service personnel including hiring training motivation career development reviews and safety.

• Perform annual merit reviews and development planning for service personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the administrative and customer service functions of the Service Department.

• Maintain open and positive communication (both in verbal and written form) with employees departments customers and vendors.

• Maintain appropriate staffing level and workload distribution to meet customer and business needs.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and recommend policy changes as needed.

• Responsible for the efficient operation of the Service Department and expense control.

• Organize and present at weekly tech meetings and safety training.

• Analyze service productivity and recommend changes to improve customer service and profitability.

• Maintain high quality service delivery in an efficient productive and profitable manner.

• Oversee warehouse inventory and vehicle management.

• Maintain ongoing maintenance schedules for service accounts.

• Review and approve all replacement requests.

• Organize coordinate and schedule all scheduled maintenance replacement and Customer service work order.

• Assist or assign assistance for technician on accounts to ensure work quality.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Working knowledge of wordprocessing and integrated software applications.

• Organizational skills and the ability to perform detailoriented work.

• Familiar with a variety of the electrical fields concepts practices best practice and procedures including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes Life Safety Codes NFPA Uniform Building Codes and Lighting Systems where applicable.

Education and Experience

• 5 years experience of managing 10 or more electricians and service technicians in a commercial electrical service & maintenance operation within multi branch office environment.

• 5 years experience in Service Management and Dispatch software GPS vehicle monitoring and Microsoft Office & Outlook.

• Experience and knowledge of electrical applications permits electrical maintenance goals Facility Maintenance Application and PM standards.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Exposure to temperatures and varying inside conditions.

• Continual walking standing climbing stooping bending kneeling reaching and heavy lifting and carrying.
