Job Description

MSS ensures that all the mass spectrometers liquid chromatographs and other related bioanalytical instruments/ equipment are in good working order. The process is vital to the operational success of GBA and of preclinical nonclinical and clinical trials around the world. In this role you will repair troubleshoot maintain and install bioanalytical equipment with minimum supervision maintain a clean/safe lab and ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
The LCMS groups expertise lies in the quantitation of small molecules oligonucleotides peptides proteins and metabolite biomarkers by various mass spectrometric (LCMS/MS LCHRMS hybrid/immunoaffinity mass spec) and hybridizationLCfluorescence techniques. We have been pivotal in supporting most of the HIV most of the HBV/HCV one of the first 3 ADCs and 6 of the last 9 gene therapy products approved by FDA.

The Job
- Understand evaluate troubleshoot and fix LCMS/MS systems and other associated bioanalytical equipment problems.
- Perform planned preventive maintenance calibration and regular maintenance of the LC/MS/MSLC LCUV/FLDand other associated bioanalytical equipment.
- Perform validations on equipment.
- Orderreplenish consumablesand maintain inventory of spare parts for LC and MS systems.
Requirements
- High School or GED plus 6 years relevant industry experience
- Experience with UHPLC equipment required;Experience with Shimadzu UHPLC is a plus
- OR an AA/BS degree in electronics technology or medical technology
- A background or education in Analytical Chemistry Biochemistry Pharmaceutical Chemistry Pharmacology is considered added value
- Familiarity with the optics of LCMS/MS and other analytical equipment
- Mass Spectrometer experience a plus
Work Location
- This job will be 100 QPSoffice/facility based
