Were looking for a Design Lead for our International Wealth Team (New Delhi India).

Guided by Morningstars investment principles this team focuses on delivering meaningful longterm investment results to help investors reach their financial goals. Our complete wealth management platform serves clients needs at each stage of their life. In addition the platform enables advisors to manage their practice through portfolio accounting and reporting client communication and analyst research. The platform also offers access to Morningstars bestinclass content events and thought leadership to help advisors best serve their clients.Everything we do is driven by our independent view longterm investment approach and relentless focus to always put investors first.

This role will be hybrid with 3 days inoffice required.

What youll do:

In this role youll be one of the most tenured Designers (UX/UI) on our India Design team and work with our onlocation team of Designers as well as our Designers in Australia and the United Kingdom. This is an exciting time to join us as were bolstering our Design presence in Mumbai/New Delhi and building our usercentric culture with a team of amazing colleagues. You will report to our Senior Manager of Design. This role is part of Morningstars Maker (individual contributor) job career ladder for Design.

Your daytoday will include ownership of some of the most complex user journey challenges our advisors investors and internal colleagues are currently facing. Youll also think about the future of our Wealth Marketplace offering. Weve been hard at work understanding our users journey personas and the problems were solving for and need a strong Design Lead to help piece together the puzzles and ensure a cohesive delightful user experience across the investor/advisor lifecycle. Youll speak to users early and often and help share insights across our business. Further youll mentor our more junior Designers with your UX expertise and help build our Design practice for tomorrow.

Youll also:

• Be a member of the International Wealth Design chapter a team of talented designers across India the United Kingdom and Australia.

• Partner closely with International Wealth Design Leaders to grow our practice and Design community.

• Model Design excellence in craft and skill thinking not only about the nittygritty details but also the bigger picture and how Design scales across the teams.

• Lead crossfunctional teammates through design thinking workshops discovery sessions user research sessions user testing and design feedback sessions to bring the voice of the user into everything we do.

• Guide through ambiguous problem spaces to solve our users and customers most complex problems.

• Work with the Wealth Marketplace leads from Product Engineering Method Marketing Sales Implementation and other disciplines to provide creative direction across projects with guidance from senior design leadership.

• Work with other likeminded Design practitioners across Morningstar to influence work in the wider organization and bring the best of craft into our teams.

• Be responsible for providing feedback and reviewing design outputs of more junior designers working within the Wealth Marketplace team; ensuring we always keep the design bar high.

Primary Focus: Service Design / Product Design:

• You have excellent skill in 2 or more of these craft areas and can teach it to others: UX Design Service Design User Research Content Strategy Information Architecture Design Systems Accessible Design Design Workshopping Visual Design or UX Engineering.

• Drive the user experience lead the team towards a solution and coordinate the work of other designers toward desired outcomes with support from other design product marketing and engineering leaders.

• Solve complex design problems and support team alignment strategy and prioritization creatively and effectively.

• Model meticulous attention to detail while consistently delivering highquality solutions.

• Identifyconnections between productsand communication channels and guideteams to buildand plan forcoordinated solutions.

• Exhibit proficiencyincore research skills such as interviewing analysis and reporting techniquesand execute common types of user research with minimal guidance and supervision.

Process / Collaboration:

• Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills including effectively managing expectations and obtaining agreement on key objectives.

• Scale our solutions through componentbased approaches leveraging and advancing our design system and refining our delivery process as appropriate.

• Supporta collaborative transparent and highperformingteamenvironmentbyleadingwith a positive resultsorientedattitude that contributes to a culturebuilt on resilience great communicationand mutual respect.

• Use data and experimentation in the design process to deliver intended outcomes.

• Promoteopen discussion of new ideas tough issues and contrasting points of view.

Leadership:

• Persuadeand leadothers to invest in qualitydesignand demonstrate the value of doing it right.

• Coachother designers business leads and stakeholders on the values and methodsof design thinking to solve user needs and realize business goalswhile alsosupporting our design culture.

• Communicate UX design solutions to multiple development teams through prototypes detailed specifications and similar types of communication documents.

• Coachyour teammateson how to make decisions around information structure relationships and strategy.

• Partnerwith the product ownersand engineering leads to support the endtoend vision of the product.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience as a User Experience Design professional is required.

• Bachelors degree in graphic design Digital Design Communication Arts HumanComputer Interaction Industrial Engineering/Design Computer Science related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Solid understanding of UX design principles and usercentered design.

• A portfolio of work showcasing your skills as an advanced design practitioner will be required for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Figma Microsoft Office Suite and Mac OS X

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS

• Experience as a UX Designer in financial services or large corporation
