Job Description
STV is seeking anEnvironmental Health and Safety Leadto support one of our clients with our transportation group for a largescale construction project. This position is designated as onsite 5 days week/in office) and will be located at our client site in Queens NY.
Responsibilities include:
- Onsite EHS inspections and compliance monitoring
- Lead and directly supervise a staff of 36 environmental health and safety inspectors across multiple shifts and sites
- Review and provide comment on contractor submissions and coordinate as needed in a professional proactive manner
- Compile monthly metrics reports and review/approve inspector daily reports. Chair/ participate in multiple meetings a week
- Must be able to communicate in these meetings in a clear respectful manner and be well informed on the subject matter for which they are speaking to
Required Skills:
- Must be able to work independently possess excellent leadership communication time management and computer skills
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of 510 years experience in construction EHS oversight and possess a working knowledge of federal state and local regulations
- OSHA 10hr Construction Safety Training is required
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is preferred
- Experience working withlocal water/wastewater facilities
- Current 40hr Hazwoper Confined Space Entry and RCRA training are required
Compensation Range:
