Inventory receives stores and distributes most of the items purchased by Daktronics and many of the makefor stock items manufactured in the plant. Parts and assemblies are pulled packaged and delivered to the manufacturing floor for assembly or shipping by the people working in the Inventory area. Most of the items pulled for the department are done by work order picklists.
Core Schedule:
You can select to work our 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday Thursday shift OR you can choose to work our 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Monday Friday shift.
Both shifts may require overtime as needed.
- Learn Daktronics products systems processes and flow through Daktronics.
- Pull parts to fill work orders. Handle inventory count discrepancies.Flexibility to work in all manufacturing departments.
- Must learn and be able to train employees in all Inventory tasks including: Work Order and pulling Data Entry Bulk Staging and other tasks and procedures.
- Safely and responsibly use tools and safe lifting practices.
- Correctly follow written instructions.Accurately record work done.
- Consistently complete quality work in a timely manner including repetitive tasks.Quickly learn new tasks and accurately perform these tasks as assigned.
- Work effectively as a team member work with little supervision help when and where needed make suggestions for process and product improvement and communicate effectively with team members. Be at work on time and maintain good attendance; follow company guidelines and policies.
- Receive and verify incoming material.
- Kit materials and gather documentation needed for production.
- Perform physical cycle counts and material audits as assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving warehouse inventory or materials management preferred. The understanding of material flow in a manufacturing environment also preferred.
- Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to learn and execute different tasks throughout the day.
- Keyboard skills required. Prefer experience with Excel Word Outlook and/or Glovia ERP system.
- Accuracy with numbers.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and flexible work environment.
- Operate mobile equipment (tugger forklift automated pallet jack).
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and carry of up to 35 lbs some areas the ability occasionally to frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Work with your hands.
- The ability to stand for the full 10hour shift with planned breaks. The duration of standing between breaks varies from 2 hours to 3 hours depending on the work area.
- Abilityto move items to various manufacturing departments.
- Ability to push/pull or carts.
- Be able to work around odors (solder/paint).
- Ability to work overtime.
- Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid drivers license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
- Fluent in English written and verbal.
