About the role

Brisbane Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Anaesthetics Registered Nurses to join our team on a part time basis. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a passion for delivering high quality patient care.

Shift times for this role vary between 630am9pm across Monday to Friday with the occasional oncall and weekend shift.

Set at the top of Wickham Terrace Brisbanes busiest medical precinct above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical ICU and rehabilitation wards. Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery Orthopaedics Spinal ENT Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics Urology General Surgery Gynaecology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program Damascus Health Services from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.

Your duties will include

  • Delivering excellent service and care to patients
  • Liaise within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proven ability to work well within a team
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety
  • Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices
  • Proven troubleshooting skills
  • Possess organisational skills and complete documentation to a high standard
  • Will adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures contribute to the efficient effective and economic running of the peri operative service.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Science (nursing) or equivalent
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2 years Post Graduate experience in Anaesthetics
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Relevant post graduate qualification
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards

Remuneration:If you are successful for this role you will receive a salary based on the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Healthscope Queensland Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 (salaries range between $39.66 $52.97/hr for Registered Nurses)
