Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Fort Smith AR

Service Setting: Inpatient

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: July 2025 Ongoing (depending on credentialing)

Clinical Shift Schedule: 8a 8p 12p 12a 7p 7a 9a 5p

COVERAGE DATES

Start Date: 07/01/2025 (dependent on credentialing)

End Date: Open (6 months to 1 year)

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults

Patient Volume/Census: 19/day

Admissions: Yes

Rounding: Included

Phone Consults: Yes

Case Mix: General Hospital Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: Epic

Support Staff Available: 6 MD/DOs and 4 NPs/PAs per day

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Arkansas license required

Board: Board Certified (FNP ANCC AANP); Board Eligible accepted within 6 years

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS/ACLS

Experience: Experience in hospitalist settings preferred

Other Qualifications: Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide inpatient care to adult patients

Participate in hospitalist team of 6 MD/DOs and 4 APPs per day

Manage patient admissions and daily rounding

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Document all care using Epic EMR
