JOB SUMMARY:
The Executive Director of Development and the Galveston College Foundation is responsible for leading and managing the Colleges and Foundations fundraising efforts to support the Colleges mission and strategic goals. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies cultivating relationships with donors alumni and community partners and overseeing major gift campaigns annual giving programs and special events. The Executive Director will work closely with the President college leadership the foundation board and development staff to ensure effective stewardship of resources and achieve the fundraising targets. QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold at least a bachelors degree (from a regionally accredited institution) in an area specific to the areas supervised or in a closely related area and have a minimum of five years as a proven fund raising professional. In addition the successful candidate must have strong leadership skills strong strategic planning skills strong communication skills (written and oral) and great interpersonal skills The aptitude to think outside the box and to work collegially and collaboratively with others is essential.
