Job Description

As an outside sales representative you will be selling barber supplies tools and accessories to barbers hairdressers barbershop owners and salon owners. This position will focus on new business development and account management. You will report directly to the president. The position offers a base salary of $63K to $67K plus commission a car allowance by mileage and many other perks!

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Base salary of $63000 to $67000 plus commission
  • Firstyear OTE around $85000
  • Car allowance based on mileage

OFFICE LOCATION AND SALES TERRITORY:

  • Head Office: Calgary
  • This is an Outside Sales role travelling and meeting clients within the Vancouver BC territory
  • Sales Territory: Vancouver Area

EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of B2B outside sales experience
  • Experienced in the barber supplies industry would be an asset

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Advanced MS Office (Excel PowerPoint Word)

THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION

  • Barber Supplies Products Tools Furniture and Accessories

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISIONMAKER(S):

  • Barbers Hairdressers Barbershop and Salon owners

SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:

  • The average order size is around $300
  • The sales cycle is 13 months
  • Target account size by yearly revenues $25000

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

1st Year:

  • 50 of New Business Development
  • 50 of Account Management

2nd Year:

  • 50 of New Business Development
  • 50 of Account Management

LEADS:

  • Warm Leads Supplied: 50
  • List Supplied: 25
  • Prospect & Create Own List: 25

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

  • Less than 10(Maybe once a year)

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

  • Sales Training Program would last approximately one week to familiarize the candidate with production inventory management and any other areas needed.
