Duties will vary from site to site but will include delivery of program services in a group setting; facilitation of process/discussion groups; accurate documentation; outreach to related community services where appropriate; case management; working collaboratively with the host agencies; and representing BSCS in a professional manner.
This role is temporary and subject to last 3 months (with potential to become Full Time).
What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference...
Present psychoeducational curriculum to clients as scheduled; subject matter may include Substance Abuse Criminal Thinking Anger Management and related topics as outlined in the curriculum manual
Facilitate process/discussion groups regarding material covered in groups as listed above
Provide individual counseling as needed
Complete assessments intakes client schedules treatment plans periodic reviews and aftercare plans in timely fashion
Driving is required.

BSCS believes in investing in our staff and offers a comprehensive weekly Professional Development and Growth Seminar with your colleagues. These seminars are designed to assist with competencies needed for your license. Topics include Diagnosing Ethics and Boundaries Clinical Considerations Substance Use Disorder Treatment to name a few. These seminars are facilitated by seasoned clinicians. In addition BSCS offers extensive training in Evidence Based Practice including Motivational Interviewing Trauma Services and Substance Use Disorder Treatments.
Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology Education Counseling Psychology Rehabilitative Counseling or Social Work required
Minimum of 2 years supervised counseling required
CADAC SAS LADC or Substance Abuse counseling licensure preferred
CADAC SAS or Substance Abuse treatment experience is a minimum requirement
Clinicians who do not have a college degree and/ or a CADAC are expected to be actively pursuing this level of professional development
