Job Description

Position Title:

OnCall Applied Music Instructor

Position Type:

Regular

Hiring Range:

$90/hr

Pay Frequency:

Hourly

A. POSITION PURPOSE

Instruct all performing arts students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Provide rehearsal and performance accompaniment.

  • Conduct nine 9 lessons per student and one 1 jury examination.

  • Assign and submit assessment of student performance to the Office of the Registrar by the deadline.

  • Fulfill other instructional or academic duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Flexibility to accommodate assignments involving evenings and weekends.

Recommends initiatives and implements approved changes to improve quality and services. Yes Identifies and determines cause of problems; develops and presents recommendations for improvement of established processes and practices. This position requires the ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of successful teaching techniques.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

3. Abilities

Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.

  • Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Fine Arts in music required. Significant professional experience may act as a substitute.
