Duties And Responsibilities
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the scope of work is similar related or a logical assignment to this classification. 1. Teach classes as assigned from the regular Learning Center curriculum 2. Assist in curriculum assessment and revisions and new course development 3. Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours 4. Maintain expertise in current teaching methodologies and curricula 5. Perform other professional duties as required by contract and general institutional needs
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Masters degree or above in education educational psychology or instructional psychology OR other Masters degree or above with emphasis in adult learning theory OR the minimum qualifications to teach any masters level discipline in which learning assistance or tutoring is provided at the college OR the equivalent (see below) Demonstrated cultural competence sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff
