Job Position: Tax Compliance Supervisor / Manager
Ref: 4952
Location: PE/Gqeberha
Salary: R45 000 to R60 000 per month CTC commensurate with experience
Qualifications / Requirements:
Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject
Tax or other relevant qualifications with a decent track record of work experience 5 years)
Experience in a tax environment is essential
Registered Tax Practitioner/SAIT or eligibility to be registered

Fair competency with regard to the interpretation of tax law
Supervisory experience

Key Performance Areas:
Assist in the supervision of the tax department staff
Supervise the tax department employees (Manager)
Manage the administration of provisional tax meeting deadlines and the complete billing process (Manager)
Control the input of data thus ensuring an accurate database (Manager)
Assist Tax Manager and compliance officers with the completion of complex Income Tax Returns
Assist the Tax Manager with the administration of provisional tax and meeting deadlines
Assist with the monitoring of the whole dispute resolution process including drafting objections appeals complaints and the Tax Ombud complaints
Consulting and advising clients with basic tax queries
Assist with the preparation and review of complex tax calculations and returns on behalf of clients (companies and individuals)
Assist the Tax Manager with the initial completion of SARS response letters and ensure that all deadlines are adhered to
Responsible for communicating the refund list to the partners
Oversee the administration of SARSrelated documentation received i.e. assessments and other SARS notifications
Assist and advise compliance officers of matters relating to the completion of returns and tax administration
Assist compliance officers with GreatSoftrelated problems in terms of tax
Provisional tax runs monthly and SARS Provisional Tax queries
Controlling Greatsoftrelated problems in terms of tax
Ensure the delivery of documents returns and payments to SARS at the end of each month
Ensure that payments requested from clients are regularly followed up on
Assist Tax Manager to ensure that all lists are updated and followed up by compliance officers monthly and sent to each partner refunds payments disputes and tax returns
Assist with resolving any disputes on assessments and accounts from SARS relating to Income Tax
Assist with tax exemption applications and the preparation thereof
SARS liaison for the resolution of complex tax queries
SARS visits for updating of banking details and taxpayer particulars and other queries
SARS appointments for all the Directors
Ensure that all tax queries and compliance matters for the directors of the company are logged and the progress thereof monitored
Responsible for the SAIT learners and their relevant training
Monthly meetings with the tax manager to report on the progress of all taxrelated matters
Collaborate with the Tax Ombud to address taxpayer complaints and ensure fair treatment and compliance with tax laws and regulation (Manager)
Oversee tax compliance strategy and reporting to optimise financial outcomes and mitigate risks for the organisation (Manager)
Ensure team members meet with respective Directors on unsubmitted lists
Compliance with the firms System of Quality Management (SOQM) policies and procedures
Compliance with the firms Employee Code of Conduct which consists of the firms HR policies SAICA IRBA and IESBA Codes of Conduct
