Territory ManagerIndustrial Position Purpose
Responsible for taking all actions necessary to secure and maintain a market share primarily the Takeuchi product line in an assigned sales territory through proper planning adequate territorial coverage and effective sales presentations through administrative and other assigned duties.
Territory ManagerIndustrial Essential Functions
- Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission One Team One Plan One Goal
- Obtains and maintains an elevated level of understanding of marketing and finance programs and prepares quotations outlining features benefits and any available financing programs
- Achieves and maintains excellent product knowledge through sales schools and selfstudy
- Develops and continues to improve interpersonal and sales skills through schools and selfstudy
- Establishes and maintains personal relationships with customers determines customer needs and the best way to satisfy those needs
- Studies and maintains knowledge of competitions machines finance and marketing programs
- Acts as Liaison between KirbySmith Machinery Inc. and customers in all aspects of customer relations
- Follows up to ensure that all aspects of sales and rental transactions were correct and completed on time
- Completes all required paperwork correctly and on time
- Ensures that all contracts and transactions are conducted in an ethical and professional manner
- Identifies profiles and prospects the territory; develops and enlarges the customer base in the territory
- Maintains communications and advises management of all changes in the territory
- Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned
- Ensures consistent and reliable attendance
Territory ManagerIndustrial Minimum Qualifications
- High School Education or Equivalent with postsecondary education preferred
- Three 3 years of construction equipment sales experience
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and adapts quickly to changing priorities and customer needs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and various webbased applications
- Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
Territory ManagerIndustrial Physical Requirements
- Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat twist turn bend stoop climb and reach overhead
- Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold andwet damp dusty or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises hazardous materials and fumes/odors
- Physical ability to perform workfor extended hours
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE
