Job Description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for supporting the services and products that power the client lines of businesses. If you are highly motivated and goal oriented can handle interruptions while fluidly switching between several projects and has a work smart not harder approach this job will be ideal. Responsibilities: Work within the group maintaining and developing Infrastructure Develop and extend tools to maintain and monitor deployments. Assess document present and execute project assignments. Evaluate and recommend commercial and opensource software. Automate complex processes. Escalation point of contact to answer system related questions. Train and Mentor team members system administrators and operators. Provide production support. Requirements: 4 years of experience with UNIX/Linux strong understanding of Linux OS.BASH or other shell scripting knowledge 5 years of experience working with VERITAS NetBackup including Flex Appliances and Cloud Storage 2 years of Veritas IT Analytics experience including installation and administration3 years of Quantum Tape Systems 3 years of understanding and working knowledge of fundamental Internet Protocols (e.g. DNS HTTP SSH SMTP FTP) Desirable: Web/Internet Security experience is a plus. Configuration management experience (e.g. puppet Git Subversion. CI/CD3 years of handson Programming experience in Python. 2 years of Veritas Infoscale Clustering experience/knowledge A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
