The Audience Engagement Manager helps contribute to the expansion of our key VIP audiences across a multitude of events through a variety of different channels (email social phone and inperson). The key focus is generating new VIP attendees to ensure we are servicing our sponsors assisting with the generation of new leads for delegate sales and sponsorship and taking responsibility for the delivery of sponsorship items such as 1to1 meetings and private briefings.
Areas of responsibility and accountability
- Contribute to the expansion of the audience within the events that you work on (VIPs and key influences) using email research relationship building and your network.
- Utilising email design best practice and our Tone of Voice copywriting principles to maximise conversions.
- Liaise with the wider Audience Engagement team conference producers sales team members marketing speakers and sponsors to identify key industry community members and VIPs to invite to our events.
- Contact selected qualified individuals to discuss and confirm attendance and secure their participation in various structured networking and/or social formats.
- Ensure VIP confirmations are logged and uploaded to the system (Visit/SAP)
- Meet audience and facilitation targets as agreed by the Head of Audience Engagement.
- Meet and greet VIPs onsite at each event ensure they are looked after and participate in the proposed networking/social/sponsored programs.
- Ensure that VIPs have a superior customer experience preevent onsite and postevent.
- Build strong relationships with VIPs to create brand commitment and loyalty.
- Ensure successful delivery of private functions such as VIP Dinners Breakfast Briefings and 1to1 Meetings
- Conduct research with audience to collect feedback and suggest improvements preevent onsite and postevent.
- Help develop the online community through digital media channels.
- Work closely with VIPs to understand their needs who they want to meet what they want to know.
- Validate the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP (and other key stakeholder) passes. Check with Senior if unsure of eligibility.
- Keeping year on year tracker updated and sharing weekly updates with production Head of Audience & BSD.
- Assisting with training of new or less experienced colleagues
- Taking on extra projects to help drive new initiatives within the Audience Engagement team

- Regular retention emails social media outreach and social media posts
- Invitations to sponsored sessions (such as private briefings and 1on1 meetings)

Measure of Success
- Achievement of VIP campaign targets per project including:
- VIP numbers
- Retention of VIPs confirmed vs shows onsite
- Deliverable/facilitation targets met
- Assisting overall event team in ensuring revenue and GP achieved per event
Qualifications :
- 1 Year experience within events or related industry knowledge (finance)
- Can complete responsibilities independently to a high standard
Knowledge & Skills
- Completing role responsibilities at a faster and higher standard and competent in all aspects of role.
- Ability to train and mentor less experienced colleagues
- A strong verbal and written communicator who can confidently liaise with all levels internally and externally
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Willingness to learn and ability to demonstrate creativity with impactful results
- Detailoriented and extremely organised
- Confident using Microsoft Excel Word Outlook
- Adaptable to change and a fastpaced environment
- Positive cando attitude.
