This is a unique opportunity for a systematic analytical and experienced individual to make a big impact on Gartners research agenda as part of the Primary Research & Insights group. We are looking for an impactdriven selfmotivated problem solver who can lead engagements with global content experts and internal stakeholders to help answer client questions. The Peer Research CoE leverages data generated on proprietary Gartner platforms to deliver factbase for published research and content planning. The senior specialist will be part of a team to drive client impact stakeholder engagement and innovation.
As a Senior Specialist you will lead multiple initiatives to grow leverage of proprietary data assets and contribute directly to the growth of the team. This includes exploration and scoping proprietary platforms & tools to understand the data being generated on these platforms designing an analysis plan that meets requirements engaging with stakeholders to understand their priorities and gather feedback application of ETL & DQM best practices (using Databricks) to ensure operational excellence and deliver results using Power BI.
What you will do:
Endtoend delivery of research using data derived from Gartner proprietary sources by scoping objectives hypotheses and usage intentions that address clients mission critical priorities.
Collaborate with internal teams to explore build and maintain data pipelines by scoping requirements conducting ETL and DQM activities in Databricks and/or PowerBI.
Tell the data story through analysis interpretation data aggregation and impactful visuals (using Power BI) that convey key takeaways and represent Gartners brand.
Collaborate with globally distributed subject matter experts to design analyze and identify key findings for written research client engagements and event presentations.
Support written research attributed to findings through additional data exploration and interpretation discussions.
Apply statistical methods such as regression cluster analysis and other multivariate analysis using tools like R/ Python
Work with internal stakeholders/ partners to ensure quality outcomes.
Safeguard Gartners content by reviewing data use for quality accuracy and correct interpretation.
Actively promote opportunities to leverage results and increase the return on research investment.
Contribute to Primary Research team evolution and strategy through selfdevelopment and collaboration with peers.
What you will need:
Bachelors degree in business studies statistics economics social sciences or mathematics required
At least 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in executing delivery of research projects (transactional or social media data business and/or consumer); preferably in a market research agency or business strategy consultancy.
Demonstrated ability to translate qualitative and quantitative analysis into actionable business strategies
Experienced in building & maintaining data pipelines to support as well as creating frontend reports for users.
Experience in gathering input from and communicating ideas to clients and key stakeholders across businesses
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of business data science and technical stakeholders
Experience with either one of R/ Python and Power BI would be a must. Additional experience with Databricks etc. would be an advantage.
Outstanding project management skills (projects involving internal and external stakeholders) with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for data exploration/visualization.
