Job Description

Are you an organized detailoriented accounting professional ready to take ownership of critical financial operations Kinsale Insurance is looking for a Premium Accounting Analyst to manage premium receivables collaborate with brokers and ensure accurate financial records. Youll play a key role in supporting our business by driving collections processing cash receipts and resolving discrepancies in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.

As a Premium Accounting Analyst youll take charge of outstanding premium balances acting as the primary point of contact for broker accounting and ensuring timely and accurate resolution of accounts. Your work will include collections cash applications and close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Receivables & Collections

  • Follow up with broker contacts on all past due premium balances
  • Assess and apply appropriate collection strategies
  • Refer nonpayment accounts for noncompliance notices (NOCs) and support cancellation processing
  • Negotiate payment terms on brokeragebilled balances

Cash Application & Reconciliation

  • Apply premium payments from assigned brokerages accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with cash application support during highvolume periods or team absences
  • Research and resolve discrepancies between premium bookings and receipts

Collaboration & Process Support

  • Partner with Underwriting Assistants on cancellations and earned premium invoicing
  • Prepare return premium check requests for manager approval
  • Train new team members as requested
  • Support other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required (Bachelors preferred)
  • 25 years of accounts receivable experience (insurance industry preferred)
  • Strong accuracy efficiency and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication organization and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
