Primary Purpose
Provide instruction in Criminal Justice as a member of an instructional team of full and part time instructors. Instruction is primarily in the 100 level required courses in the Associate of Applied Science Degree. These courses include Introduction to Criminal Justice The Judicial Process and Law Enforcement. Criminal Justice faculty should have some experience in the field through law enforcement corrections or probation and parole. In addition to teaching within the criminal justice curriculum faculty will direct student discussion select learning experiences appropriate for meeting objectives and evaluate student performance in the classroom.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide instruction in Criminal Justice courses in classroom remote or online delivery mode using established course outcomes. This includes providing individual conference time to guide and evaluate student progress. Teaching assignments may include courses taught during the day and/or evening classes taught on any of the four campuses COCC serves by interactive video chat technology. Cooperate with the Business Department efforts to revise and standardize curricula for these classes. Attend regular trainings as scheduled by the department or College. Perform other essential duties and tasks specific to each location as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Masters Degree or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
College Teaching experience preferred
