Position Description:
Today we are seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Site Superintendents to join our team for the development of multiresidential apartment buildings in Ottawa. In addition to the duties typically expected of a Site Superintendent as the successful incumbent you will be responsible to:
- Manage and oversee all onsite construction activities ensuring projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors trades and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Manage and resolve any onsite conflicts or issues that may arise during construction.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes regulations and zoning laws.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate project documentation including daily logs progress reports and change orders.
- Foster a positive working environment and build strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of successfully managing largescale construction projects from start to finish.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in multirise residential construction.
- Indepth knowledge of construction processes building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
