About Crank:

CRANK is a community of gamers and a registered NDIS provider that creates 1:1 and group coaching experiences. The organisations No Barriers programs help NDIS participants and their families overcome social career independence and wellbeing barriers to achieve the careers and lives they want and deserve.

Role Description:

The Career Discovery and Transition Lead Coach will largely focus on the discovery of options for our participants. They will be responsible for providing career navigation needs when participants leave school enrol participants into courses and help them identify pathways to enrol.

The Career Discovery and Transition Lead Coach will have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that young people face when navigating their career paths and will be responsible for supporting participants to explore and identify their strengths interests and goals and for providing guidance and support to help them achieve their aspirations.

About You:

  • Values that align with Crank No Barriers
  • Tertiary qualifications in coaching career development/counselling education or related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • Be an innovative resourceful and enthusiastic educational leader with proven experience as a Pathways Advisor.
  • Significant experience working with young people with a deep understanding of the barriers young neurodiverse people may experience when accessing further education and employment.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills in connecting with work colleagues with demonstrated success in building relationships with young people.
  • Highly developed organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of child safe standards and ability to adhere to them.

Good to have:

  • A love of video games.
  • Experience supporting neurodivergent individuals.

Qualifications:

  • Possess Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain).
  • Possess NDIS worker screening clearance (or be willing to obtain).
  • A clear police check (not more than 6 months)
  • A current full Victorian Drivers Licence
  • At least 2 professional referees
  • Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety and You.

The Career Discovery and Transition Coach position will be based in St Kilda Road Melbourne with travel between other CRANK locations when required.
