Location: We support US flexible working arrangements in the Wellesley MA Portland ME or Hartford CT locations.

The opportunity:

Internal Audit contributes to the longterm competitive advantage of the company through the of high quality and efficient audit services which help our clients proactively manage risks in their business.

The candidate is responsible for managing planning and scheduling complex audit engagements and projects. The role includes significant client interaction in order to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and the efficiency of operations. The role is also responsible for fostering a proactive high performance team environment.

How you will contribute:

  • Manage complex audit engagements ensuring proper coverage and consideration of auditing principles and practices.
  • Document the business understanding business objectives risks performance metrics key controls and testing strategies for each audit engagement assigned.
  • Conducts audit opening and closing meetings with client.
  • Monitors the progress of audit projects and provides appropriate leadership in completing the projects according to department objectives.
  • Identifies opportunities to build leverage and execute data analytics within audit.
  • Supervises other audit managers or auditors assigned to projects according to department objectives.
  • Prepares and/or reviews identified issues to ensure they are clearly understood documented and that the process owners/business management provides corrective action.
  • Prepares internal audit reports of findings and recommendations for delivery to management.
  • Prepares for and leads meetings with clients for the purpose of audit planning fieldwork and presenting audit findings and recommendations; and documents the results of these meetings.
  • Monitors audit findings to ensure effective and timely resolution.
  • Contributes to preparation of internal audit management reports.
  • Actively builds and manages relationships with business partners.
  • Recommends revisions to audit policies procedures and programs.

What you will bring with you:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Internal Audit preferred
  • Relevant professional designation (CPA CIA) required
  • Health Insurance background strongly preferred
  • Experience in Government Healthcare (Medicare/Medicaid including dental) strongly preferred
  • Solid technical audit skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and large projects
  • Proactive energetic selfstarter with the ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate influence and network effectively
  • Proven staff management and development skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to devise innovative solutions in a dynamic business environment
  • Data analytics experience required
