Position Summary
The University of North Carolinas Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting a tenure track or variable track Assistant Professor of Maternal Fetal Medicine to provide inpatient and outpatient obstetrics care to patients and collaborate with departmental and healthcare system leaders clinicians and administrators to develop and implement initiatives to enhance quality safety and community engagement. Responsibilities will also include education of medical students residents and fellows and participation in the divisions research mission. The divisions clinical programs include highrisk obstetric care perinatal consultation prenatal diagnosis ultrasound genetic services invasive fetal therapy and perinatal outreach. Division faculty members are engaged participants in the activities of UNCs Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health (www.mombaby) which provides multidisciplinary care coordination for families referred for fetal malformations. Division members actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for six Maternal Fetal Medicine fellows through its 3year American Board of Obstetrics & Genecology ABOG approved fellowship program. Some night weekend and holiday inpatient work is expected in rotation with other division members.
