Responsibilities
Identify and assess investment opportunities for SME financing.
Conduct financial due diligence business assessments and market analysis.
Structure investment transactions including debt equity and hybrid financing.
Negotiate and finalize investment agreements in line with company policies.
Monitor and manage a portfolio of investments ensuring financial and operational success.
Develop risk mitigation strategies for underperforming investments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs investors and financial institutions.
Provide mentorship and advisory support to SME clients.
Ensure compliance with regulatory legal and internal investment guidelines.
Prepare and present reports on portfolio performance risk assessments and market trends.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance Investment Management Economics Business Administration or a related field.
Postgraduate qualification (MBA CFA CA(SA) or equivalent) is advantageous.
57 years of experience in investment banking private equity venture capital or SME financing.
Strong financial modeling valuation and due diligence skills.
Proven ability to structure and negotiate complex financial transactions.
Excellent communication stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Experience working with SMEs and a deep understanding of the South African business environment.
Analytical thinker with strong problemsolving abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for SME development.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
