Job Description

The Role:

If you are interested in governance and love a fastpaced dynamic environment supporting the people at the top of one of Australias biggest companies this role could be right for you.

Based in Melbourne this role will provide essential support to the Committee Secretaries who in turn support certain NAB Board Committees and Executive Committees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and coordinate Committee meeting logistics
  • Assist with preparation of agendas meeting packs and other materials required for Board Committee and Executive Committee meetings.
  • Assist with collation and distribution of meeting packs and communication with meeting presenters.
  • Store access and distribute Board Committee and Executive Committee meeting documents in accordance with Group Governance procedures.
  • Support the Committee Secretaries with drafting of shell minutes and forward planning.
  • Assist with Information requests including for regulatory purposes.
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide administrative assistance to other colleagues in the Group Governance team as required such as cover when a colleague is on leave.

What you will bring:

Experience in an administration role working with senior stakeholders in a large corporate environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy including the ability to produce high quality documentation at speed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Strong organisational skills to maintain rigour of reporting cycles and timelines.
  • Discipline including ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information and rigorous at following processes and completing tasks.
  • Proactive mindset and good at anticipating stakeholders needs.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure manage multiple tasks and prioritise deadlines under conflicting requirements.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of matters and manage priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of learning quickly and being highly adaptable to new work environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft O365 Suite in particular Word and Power Point and Adobe Acrobat DC.

As part of the wider Customer & Corporate Services division you will be part of the Group Governance team a team of dedicated professionals who provide corporate governance advice and services to many of the boards and executive committees in the NAB Group.
