Financial Controller Asset Management Firm
Salary $185K to $200
The primary focus of the controlleris to provide accounting oversight and to ensure daily and monthly activitiesare completed in a timely and accurate manner. Controller is responsible forensuring the accuracy of financial reports books and records from a legalentity and management reporting perspective. The controller is responsible forthe overall monthly closing process financial statement preparation and relatedreporting.
Qualifications
- Swap Based Security Dealer Regulatory Reportingexperience.
- 3 years Public Accounting/Auditor experience inFinancial Services Sector.
- Workday and OneStream exp a plus
- BS Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- CPA Preferred
- 7 years experience at Broker Dealer or AssetManagement Firm
Essential JobFunctions
Manage all aspects of financial accounting andGTS entities as assigned
Coordinate annual audits with external andinternal auditors
Coordinate the preparation of financialstatements financial reports special analyses and information reports on amonthly quarterly and annual basis both to internal and external constituents.
Work with the Regulatory Team on SEC reportingrequirements (e.g. FOCUS reports!
Oversee general ledger account maintenance anddata entry ensuring records systems are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
Perform detailed review of monthly accountreconciliation and variance analysis. MTD/ YTD on an account level basis andlegal entity level
Work closely with the GTS Operations team on monthend closes and other issues. Document policies and procedures surroundingaccounting functions
Manage a financial system resource to ensureWorkday general ledger OneStream Reporting Systems and other financialsystems are properly structured and maintained to meet book and records controlenvironment and reporting needs.
Work closely with regulatory team to providebackup capability on Key Regulatory functions.
