Are you an experienced and motivated NDIS Disability Support Worker located in the Hunter region

We are seeking GREAT Support Workers to join our Elsy team in Newcastle.

About the Role:
Elsy is looking for supportive and engaging people to join our new team who will be an integral part of the implementation of individualised supports within a Supported Independent Living setting.

Has direct experience supporting people with a disability preferably within a Supported Accommodation setting
Builds rapport with people and is an excellent communicator
Essential Criteria:
Working knowledge of the NDIS
Flexibility to work within a service that provides 24/7 care this includes weekend work sleepover and or active night shifts within a fortnightly roster.
Competent with Microsoft Office suite particularly MS Word and MS Outlook.
Excellent written and oral communication
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and establish rapport with participants.
Demonstrated commitment to the rights and interests of people with a disability
Drivers Licence
Desirable:
Qualification in Community Services Disability or related field
12 months experience in a similar or relevant role
Current First Aid and CPR certificates (must be obtained before starting)
Have or are willing to obtain a National Criminal Check NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check
