Eurecat is the second Research & Technology Organisation in Spain and one of the largest applied research and technology transfer organisation in Southern

Europe. It brings together the experience of more than 800 professionals who generate an annual turnover of 69 million euros and provides services to more than 2000 companies. Eurecat integrates advanced digital capabilities and experience in biotechnology industry and sustainability and collaborates with industry in RDI activities and projects offering advanced scientific and technological services and specialized knowledge to respond effectively to the technological needs of very different business sectors accelerating innovation reducing both risks and spendings on scientific and technological infrastructures. The technology center participates in more than 200 large national and international consortium projects of high strategic R&I has 230 patents and 10 spinoffs. Eurecat has eleven centers in Catalonia and presence in Madrid Malaga and Chile.

Job description

Eurecat EU Programmes Unit is seeking an Advanced European Union Programme Manager with strong proposal writing project management and public representation skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities within EU Framework programs managing project coordination and representing Eurecat at the European level

Functions and Responsibilities

Opportunity Identification & Proposal Development

  • Identify and screen opportunities within EU R&D funding programmes focusing on (but not limited to) Horizon Europe.
  • Lead the drafting preparation and submission of project proposals collaborating with internal technical experts and external partners. This includes demonstrating expertise in all sections of Part B of proposals (i.e. excellence impact and implementation).
  • Ensure that proposals align with Eurecats strategic objectives and comply with EU requirements.
  • Exhibit excellent English writing skills to produce highquality submissions.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Oversee the overall coordination of EUfunded projects ensuring smooth followup and monitoring of all activities.
  • Liaise with all parties involvedpartners contractors and stakeholdersto maintain clear communication and alignment.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of project milestones and results engaging in technical or technological tasks discussions if needed.

Representation & Networking

  • Represent Eurecat at Europeanlevel events conferences and platforms to present project results and achievements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key EU stakeholders and partners to identify future collaboration opportunities.
  • Stay informed about new developments in EU R&D funding programmes and policy changes to strategically position Eurecat for upcoming opportunities.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in European Studies Public Policy International Relations Engineering or a related field.
  • Specialization in project management (MSc postgraduate studies etc..

Professional Experience and Background

  • At least 5 years of experience working with European Union funding mechanisms particularly Horizon Europe Horizon 2020 and/or Framework Programme 7 (FP7.
  • Proven project management experience including team coordination and budget management.
  • Experience representing an organization at a senior level during European events and conferences.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and software.

Languages

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Fluency in Catalan is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required based on project and proposal needs.
