Job Description

Military Pay Processing
Macdill Air Force Base Tampa FL

The Military Pay Processing assists the United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the manpower directorate task area. The positions primary mission involves assisting in the analysis of manpower requirements to support operations. Additionally the manpower directorate helps to advise and assist the Commander in matters relating to personnel operations management policy administration awards correspondence travel management the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program and administrative support to all Marines stationed at MacDill AFB as well as individual augments in the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). The Military Pay Processing directly supports services for MARCENTs G1 section including the administration management and analysis of pay entitlements and benefits for accurate dispensation. The Military Pay Processing will perform the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support in the administration management and dispensation of pay entitlements and benefits to military personnel.
  • Conduct audits identify errors in dispensation and identify appropriate corrective action.
  • Conduct analysis to identify the root causes for errors and provide recommendations for changes to procedures processes and/or technical systems to the Director CPAC.

EDUCATION

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over ten years of military experience.
  • Experience in administering managing and processing military pay entitlements and benefits.
  • Experience conducting audits of pay and entitlement records identifying errors and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience analyzing processes to identify root causes of errors and recommending improvements to procedures processes or technical systems.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Possess extensive knowledge and full understanding of and experience with the USMCs Marine Corps Total Force System as well as feeder and supporting subsystems; the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulations; the Joint Travel Regulations and complementing Joint instructions.
  • Expertise in the administration and management of military pay entitlements and benefits ensuring accurate dispensation in accordance with regulations.
  • Strong skills in conducting audits to identify discrepancies analyze errors and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose the root causes of errors in pay and entitlement processes and provide recommendations for procedural or system changes.
  • Proficiency in using financial management systems and software for processing pay and entitlements with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word Power Point Excel etc. desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS

  • Travel is required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that is acceptable to the companys auto insurance provider.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • A Secret clearance is required for this position.
