Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
Flaten Art Museum (FAM) seeks a summer intern to assist with a variety of museum operations and preparation for the coming exhibition season.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Staff museum and special events during Commencement weekend
Work closely with Collections Manager and Director/Curator to prepare for exhibitions and programs
Gather images for FAMs webpages and print/web/social promotion
Publish exhibitions and events on FAMs website and create corresponding listings for the St. Olaf calendar
Compile attendance and curricular engagement data for annual reporting
Assist with annual upkeep of collections storage areas
Prep patch and paint galleries
Assist with art handling activities across campus
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Current FAM student employee
Effective timemanagement skills detail oriented
Selfmotivated initiates tasks without being asked
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
Proficiency with Office Suite WordPress web editing
Strong written and visual communication skills
Experience with gallery prep art handling
Available 1718 hours/week from May 25June 14; August 15September 4
Must be current St. Olaf College student rising sophomore junior or senior
