We are seeking a Therapeutic Counselor Intern for our Equine Therapy Program Trot Onto provide services to adolescents and transitional age youth 1224 who are struggling at home in school and/or in the community due to substance use disorders or atrisk behavior.
The Therapeutic Counselorprovides a variety of communitybased servicesto children adolescents and their families. These services includeSkill coaching Job Coaching Life Skills training activity planning community exploration & integration behavior management assessment treatment planning services crisis management and case management services.
Therapeutic Counselors are responsible for maintaining positive relationships with outside agencies families and other involved parties.You will serve asan integral member of a clients treatment team and be responsible for all documentationas required by policy and procedure. Your schedule is flexible depending on your availability and that of the client/family. We are seeking a Part Time Therapeutic Counsellor for our Equine Therapy Program Trot On to provide communitybased services to adolescents and transitional age youth 1224 who are struggling at home in school and/or in the community due to substance use disorders or atrisk behavior. We provide ACRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach) to youth served and your involvement will support these interventions.
Training in ARC and SMART available through JRI. Supervision will be provided by Trot On Program Director who maintains LICSW and PATH Intl. CTRI.
