Job Description

Our client a highly regarded Bay Street law firm is looking to add a Practice Counsel in securities and M&A law to join its strong Knowledge and Innovation team. This is a high impact role providing support to and working with lawyers in the capital markets and M&A practice groups. The main responsibilities include developing internal resources communicating proposed and recent developments/trends writing publications for clients teaching in CLE programs daily practice support to lawyers and supporting business development initiatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be in a nonpracticing role doing sophisticated work with wonderful colleagues at a major law firm.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of transactional experience in a large law firm or inhouse legal role sound judgement demonstrated project management ability excellent technical skills strong client service orientation an aptitude for technology excellent public speaking skills geared to a broad audience and strong leadership relationship building collaboration and consultation skills.
