Job Summary/Description:
The CBS/FOX/CW affiliate in Wausau WI is looking for a fulltime multimedia journalist who will join our awardwinning morning team to report for Sunrise 7.
Duties include setting up stories shooting and gathering information in the field as part of a team and independently. This MMJ will work on their own and with a photographer to report live in our morning newscast. This person will also be responsible for editing videos for our onair and digital platforms including wsaw and social media. Were looking for someone with a creative eye who connects well with people and wants to tell great stories. Depending on the candidates experience fillin anchoring opportunities could be an option for qualified people.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Editing video on a nonlinear platform
Enterprising timely impactful local stories
Shooting and gathering information in the field
Operating TVU Live gear and Laptop editors as well as live technology
Collaborating with anchors producers and the assignment desk manager about stories
Posting content and videos to our digital platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
Be available to work from 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
Be capable of working under pressure and meeting daily deadlines in a highenergy environment
Have good communication skills
Have solid news judgment
Have the ability to multitask efficiently
Be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Familiarity with ENPS Grass Valley Edius Sony XDCAM cameras Arc Publishing and Social News Desk preferred
