CNC Turner
Location: Northampton
Salary: 37500 DOE
Hours: 38 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner for a family run organisation based in Northampton. This is a rare opening as our client has a long serving team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes (turning machines) to produce precisionengineered components according to technical specifications.
- Program CNC machines and make necessary modifications to optimise performance reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.
- Choose and install appropriate cutting tools inserts and fixtures ensuring proper calibration for accurate machining.
- Use precision measuring instruments to inspect components and verify they meet tight tolerances and engineering standards.
- Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings CAD models and specifications to produce highaccuracy components.
- Load raw materials check material specifications and ensure proper setup before machining.
- Continuously monitor machining operations identifying and correcting any deviations or quality issues in realtime.
- Diagnose machine faults perform routine maintenance and liaise with maintenance teams for more complex repairs.
- Optimise machining speeds feeds and tool paths to enhance productivity while maintaining highquality standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations ensuring a clean and hazardfree work environment in line with industry standards.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience
- Ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings.
- Skilled in selfinspection of machined components to ensure quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
