The Role
This newly created position will offer the opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference and be part of a core member of Australias fastest growing professional services group. Joining a new sustainability Consulting practice within HPX this will be an exciting time to join the team.
Working closely with the Head of Sustainability Consulting you will have the ability to strongly influence and shape the direction of this business and global client base.
This role can be completed from any of our HPX offices (Sydney Newcastle Melbourne Perth or Brisbane) and is a hybrid role offering the flexibility of both inoffice and remote work. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively from home or in our office as needed and be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role include:
Working independently across our capabilities framework to deliver specialist consulting advice to our global clients.
Leveraging better practice sustainability methodologies to effectively support client problems.
Ability to effectively engage and communicate with ourclient base and be accountable for supplying relevant guidance to clients across global jurisdictions.
Carry out independent research to support pieces of work and assessments such as:
Coaching supporting and training of junior team members
Project budget tracking and management
Developing templates processes and support integration of innovative technologies
Leading the development of thought leadership on a variety of sustainability topics
About you
Were looking for someone:
5 year experience working in sustainability consulting environments.
Tertiary qualifications closely related tosustainability environmenthuman rightsand/or project management.
Experience in any of these or related areas (several preferred): climate change mitigation/ GHG emissions; climate change adaptation/resilience; natural capital community engagement and investment; modern slavery ESG risk management supply change due diligence; sustainable and ethical procurement/purchasing and regulatory compliance.
Experience working with Indigenous communities is advantageous.
Technical knowledge and experience with sustainability disclosure regulations and frameworks.Good knowledge of ASRS/AASB mandatory. Knowledge of other regulations and frameworks beneficial: NGER and ACCUsISSB/IFRS EU CSRD EU SFDREU and UK CBAMEU GBS UK SDR China CSDS Climate Active GRI SASB Accounting for Nature etc).
Advanced skills with dealing idata and generating data insights.
Demonstrated genuine interest in ESG.
Strong engagement and project management skills.
Strong communication skills and excellent organisational abilities.
Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
With excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities; be a pragmatic solutions oriented driven creative entrepreneurial and autonomous professional who thrives in a growing and fast environment.
