Equipment Operator Job Posting
About Us Heidelberg Materials is one of the worlds largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9000 employees.
What Youll Be Doing
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers excavators forklifts haul trucks and other machinery.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Maintain operational data and logs and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
What Are We Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant licenses and safety certifications for operating specific types of equipment.
- Competency in operating heavy machinery.
- Excellent handeye coordination and ability to follow instructions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to postoffer preemployment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment inclement weather heat cold humidity and elevated noise level.
