Engineer Production Planning & Control
RoleDescription:
Plan schedule monitor and control actions ahead of time to ensureseamless flow of the manufacturing process end to end.
Core Responsibilities:
- Understand program/project schedule requirements and create production plans/Order with appropriate baselines.
- Modify / update the production schedules to the latest version of the purchase contract (PC)/Sale order.
- Manage the Schedule and the manufacturing related collaterals in the ERP / MRP with up to date contract revisions.
- Plan Schedule monitor and control material requirements for production including plans for manufacturing kits.
- Review shortage of material and work with Supply Chain Quality teams and other stakeholders to mitigate material shortage risks.
- Identify communicate and mitigate impact for and of any material shortages.
- Manage the dynamic aspect in manufacturing schedules material schedules tool schedules etc. Liaise with all other internal stakeholders for dynamic schedule requests from customer.
- Release of Job Orders/production order in the ERP / MRP.
- Create weekly resource plan kitting plan & work with manufacturing stakeholders for acceptance and deployment.
- Review the Production Progress on daily basis and manage the data for MIS reporting.
- Review the resource availability on daily basis manage impact. Review the impact and reprioritize the manufacturing operations.
- Review the consumption pattern / Forecast at customer sites and monitor inventory levels and initiate actions for production ensuring that inventory does not drop below minimum levels at any time.
- Communicate to Stakeholders and leadership for any impact related to staff tools material infrastructure and work towards solutions.
Requirements
Skills:
- Proven experience in production planning and control within a manufacturing environment preferably in aerospace sector.
- Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle MRP systems).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret data analyze trends and make datadriven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001 & AS9100 and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to production processes.
EducationalQualification:Bachelorsdegree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering ManufacturingEngineering or related field.
Workexperience:Minimum 5 years of experience in the domain ofproduction planning and control.
Ability to work under pressureand manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment
