Commercial development at Consulting and Product development company. The suitable candidate must have strong 3D design skills and ideally be interested in FEA
The mechanical design engineer required that will be responsible for technical product designs for clients in a variety of Industries. Products related to the renewable Industry. Will be involved in design for manufacture and from first principal designs
Qualification and Experienced Required:
- BEng. or MEng/MSc Mechanical Engineering
- ESSENTIAL: 4 years of design experience on Solid Works
- 48 years experience in product designs
- Skills in sheet metal component product designs and ideally have some skills in Aluminium
- Ability to interpret specifications codes standards and regulatory requirements
- Designs from first principles
- Design changes on existing Products
- Modelling and design of components and systems on component assembly and subassemblies
- Generating component and assembly drawings for prototyping
- Engineering design analysis as required on designs
- Design of existing products and suggest improvements
- Plan and control engineering projects (from concept design to Detailed design and prototype to production)
- Investigate the causes of engineering problems calculate the cost effects of modifications
- Generating reports concerning designs that have been analysed
- Generate engineering change proposals as required
- Liaise with other engineers production/ Manufacturing staff and subcontractors
