About the role

We have a fantastic fulltime opportunity in our Sydney officefor a Junior Legal Secretary to join our busy WorkersCompensation team. The team specialise in the defence of workerscompensation and work injury damages claims as well as claimsinvolving stress and psychological injury. This role will see youworking closely under the guidance of other experienced LegalSecretaries to provide support to a team of Lawyers and a Partnerwho is recognised by Doyles Guide.

Your day to day responsibilities will be varied but willinclude:

  • Drafting and amendingletters of instruction
  • Drafting correspondence and documents briefs to Counsel and briefs to medical experts.
  • Electronic and hard copy filingand setting up subfolders for electronic files
  • Drafting correspondence and documents briefs to Counsel and briefs to medical experts.
  • Telephone calls with clients Courts/Tribunals other law firms and third parties (e.g. medical practices medicolegal companies etc.
  • Monthly billing including invoicing and preparation of bills. Previous experience with Aderant/Expert Billing will be highly regarded.

About you

To be successful in this role you will ideally have a minimumof 12 years administrative or secretarial experience and akeen interest in furthering your career in the legal industry.
