Job Overview
Dr. Moopens Medical College is seeking a dedicated Assistant Professor in Pharmacology to join our team in Wayanad on a fulltime basis. This position is open to freshers with a maximum of oneyear work experience. The role involves teaching research and contributing to the advancement of pharmacological sciences within our institution.
Qualifications and Skills
- Pharmacology expertise with a strong foundation in the subject for effective teaching and research contributions (Mandatory skill).
- Proven teaching skills to instruct and mentor medical students in pharmacological concepts and practices (Mandatory skill).
- Demonstrated research capabilities to contribute to ongoing studies and initiate new pharmacological research projects (Mandatory skill).
- Understanding of drug development processes to evaluate and develop new therapeutics effectively.
- Competence in pharmacokinetics to analyze and discuss how are absorbed distributed metabolized and excreted in the body.
- Proficiency in pharmacodynamics to explain the biochemical and physiological effects of on the body.
- Strong medical writing skills to prepare review and publish research papers and grant proposals.
- Completed MD in Pharmacology to ensure adequate medical background and specialization in the field.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lectures and laboratory sessions in pharmacology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Perform independent and collaborative research to contribute to the academic body of knowledge in pharmacological sciences.
- Guide and mentor students in their research projects and studies to foster their educational growth and development.
- Stay current with developments in pharmacology to integrate new information and technologies into teaching methods.
- Collaborate with peers and healthcare professionals to design and improve curriculum and educational strategies.
- Contribute to departmental administration tasks to support the smooth functioning of the pharmacology department.
- Participate in seminars conferences and workshops to represent the institution and share research findings.
