Senior Survey Technician
Westwood Professional Services Inc.
Westwood Professional Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Survey Technician to join our team. This position will assist Project Surveyors and Project Leads with CAD production and surveyrelated duties and responsibilities in support of project deliverables.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists Project Surveyors and Project Leads with CAD production boundary analysis research legal description and easement preparation deliverables review computations and other surveyrelated responsibilities.
Reviews analyzes and plots boundary and easement descriptions from title documents and historical land records.
Performs self and peer review QA/QC checks.
Coordinates with field crews and office staff.
Travels occasionally for courthouse research and field crew support.
Ensures division regional and company values policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
Leads by example displays solid judgment good values trust honesty openness and professionalism.
Drives innovation and efficiency in CAD production processes.
Handles multiple priorities and projects well.
Consistently demonstrates critical thinking skills.
Required Skills
Strong listening writing and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ALTA surveys boundary analysis topographic surveys preparation of exhibits and legal descriptions plat preparation and field crew preparation.
Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities and familiarity with GIS concepts.
Ability to manage multiple tasks support project coordination and interact with other services.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience
Associate Degree in Surveying Engineering Technology or related area of study.
Certification as a SurveyorinTraining or Certified Survey Technician.
Experience with CAD production on Wind Solar and Power Delivery projects.
Coordinating activities with office personnel including surveying technicians and engineering staff.
Field experience searching for and recovering land survey monuments.
Understanding of survey field procedures and the operation of survey field equipment.
