Position Description: The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) School of Pharmacy is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in in the Clinical Sciences Department. Primary responsibilities include teaching and mentoring student pharmacists and graduate students conducting and engaging in collaborative research with our clinical partners and service. This fulltime position is located at the main MCW campus in Milwaukee WI. Candidates with research experience in health outcomes pharmacoeconomics and pharmaceutical industry (clinical trials and regulatory affairs) are encouraged to apply. Core Responsibilities Faculty in this position are immersed in a vibrant academic health science campus that continues to advance its research mission in collaboration with various Departments Centers and Institutes. Collaborative opportunities exist with the MCW Institute for Health & Equity which offers the Master of Public Health and other graduate degrees. The Institute seeks to improve health and advance health equity through community academic clinical and policymaking partnerships. Faculty are eligible to become members of the Center for Advancing Population Science (CAPS) Cancer Center and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) of Southeastern Wisconsin a consortium of eight regional organizations whose mission is to advance the health of the community through research and discovery that is located on the MCW Milwaukee Campus. In addition opportunities to engage with the new MCW Data Science Institute also exist. Opportunity MCW School of Pharmacy is one of the few pharmacy schools in the country offering a threeyear accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Our innovative program will provide student pharmacists with early and extensive exposure to a variety of clinical settings and worldclass research in specialties such as precision medicine pharmacogenomics cancer and psychiatry. This faculty position provides a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative pharmacy program and shape the education and clinical service initiatives in a vibrant health science campus. MCW provides learners with the knowledge skills and abilities to practice at the top of their pharmacist license upon earning their degree. Over half of the PharmD gradates pursue postgraduate training with most recent success being 96 placement. Position Requirements: Qualifications Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. and/or PharmD or equivalent degrees in a field related to pharmacy administration population health or public health. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong desire to contribute to the growth and development of the program in a progressive thoughtful and enthusiastic manner. Individuals with relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry a desire to instruct students in this area and experience with large data sets are encouraged to apply. In addition candidates should have the ability to collaborate with faculty and academic leaders to sustain a culture attentive to interprofessional education have demonstrated organizational interpersonal and group communication skills. Candidates who have research grant writing an established track record of research and publication experience will be given priority. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Ideal candidates will be qualified for secondary appointments in MCW School of Medicine departments or Institutes.
