Broadridge is hiring! Were seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer! The Lead Site Reliability Engineer ensures the reliability and performance of Broadridges infrastructure through designing scalable automated technical solutions. Key duties include leading design sessions automating infrastructure support and coordinating with various teams to maintain best practices. The role involves tracking system health troubleshooting issues and overseeing onshore and offshore team operations to ensure optimal performance and security.
We are made up of highperforming teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid which means youll be assigned to a Broadridge office and will work both onsite and remote.
Responsibilities:
- Works within and across teams to design develop test implement and support technical solutions across a fullstack of development tools and technologies.
- Translates business requirements into technical designs considering automation availability performance scale and cost.
- Ensures technical & security best practices along with Broadridge standards are adhered to in the design of technical infrastructure
- Leads technical design sessions and works closely with multiple teams including application development teams infrastructure teams vendors and clients if needed to review the infrastructure designs for new projects.
- Delivers high quality technical infrastructure ontime following Broadridge processes.
- Automates the implementation and operational support of the infrastructure.
- Provides estimates of all priority and nonpriority projects along with recommended scope or schedule changes based on capacity and unforeseen challenges.
- Leads technical implementation to ensure the quality of the infrastructure automation and the overall productivity of the SRE (Service Reliability Engineering) team.
- Owns communicates and sets expectations of day to day work of the SRE (offshore and onshore)
- Tracks Service Level Indicators (SLI) to ensure the health of technical infrastructure and Broadridge services.
- Troubleshoots production issues affecting Broadridge services as needed taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Conducts preventative maintenance to ensure capacity scaling security and availability of Broadridge services.
- Understands dependencies between infrastructure components vendor software custom software and other parts of the processing stack that support Broadridge Services
- Collaborates with peers and other technical teams such as development teams architecture database teams storage teams server teams security teams to prevent and shorten production incidents.
- Defines Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for Broadridge Services
- Implements additional operational improvements for automation monitoring and incident management to increase the reliability of Broadridge services.
- Present and explain Broadridge infrastructure and operational processes to clients and industry groups as needed. Seeks ways to improve the alignment of Broadridge technology infrastructure to clients needs.
- Work with new and existing technology vendors to understand their product roadmap and how it aligns with Broadridges Target State Architecture.
- Guides more junior associates through established processes.
- Assists in the hiring process to hire top talent and in the performance reviews of team members identifying areas of improvement.
- Continuously inspires mentors and trains development team on modern technologies.
- Works with senior leaders to architect solutions with technical vision maintainability and total cost of ownership in mind.
- Participates and contributes in strategic planning discussions with technical business and client stakeholders.
- Establishes Design Patterns used by the technical infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience with commercial service infrastructure at both a software and infrastructure level
- Functional skills System Design and Architecture DevOps / Deployment automation Troubleshooting Service Monitoring.
- Passionate teammate who understands and respects personal & cultural differences
- Ability to work under pressure and be highly adaptable
- Strong written and communications skills for collaboration with various teams and upper management
- Solid analytical skills especially in area of translating business requirements into technical design with a continuous focus on aligning technical roadmap with the immediate and longterm Business strategy
- Able to adapt and embrace change and support business strategy and vision.
- Knowledge of nextgeneration design patterns/architecture like microservices layered pattern cloud.
- Strong aptitude for learning new skills and new technologies.
- Bachelors degree in computer science computer engineering or in a related field.
- 10 years of experience within a programming and application system environment with solid experience and a working knowledge in the following technologies:
- OS: Linux Windows
- Automation: Terraform Bladelogic Chef Jenkins Ansible
- Cloud: AWS Azure
- Scripting: Powershell Perl Shell Scripts
