What Youll Do
As a Mechanical Design Engineer youll be at the forefront of designing both standard and custom machinery systems that push the boundaries of whats possible. Your typical day will include:
- Collaborating with sales and management to design standard and custom machines and systems
- Creating designs across the spectrum from tooling for existing systems to fully automated solutions
- Leading engineering projects and seeing your creative designs come to life
- Working alongside assembly teams controls engineers and management to design and support solutions
- Contributing to technological development and future growth initiatives
- Designing and integrating with modern manufacturing processes
What Youll Bring
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical design principles
- Understanding of current machine standards
- Experience with hydraulic pneumatic and servo systems
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D Software and AutoCAD
- Ability to conduct risk assessments
- Knowledge of automotive safety protocols
- Skills to design multiple machines/toolings simultaneously
- Experience with complete machine cells
- Technical writing abilities for manuals and documentation
- BOMs
