Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations maintaining an active and unrestricted pharmacist license.
  • Oversee daily prescription processing and dispensing activities following standard operating procedures.
  • Manage pharmacy personnel including hiring training scheduling and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain efficient pharmacy workflows identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management overseeing the purchase and supply of medications.
  • Address patient order concerns proactively and provide necessary followups.
  • Communicate effectively with staff through verbal and written updates.
  • Monitor and report key operational metrics related to prescription processing.
  • Implement and manage new pharmacy programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation standards such as URAC ACHC and NABP.
  • Participate in regulatory agency inspections and ensure adherence to all required standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage pharmacists pharmacy technicians shipping/receiving clerks and interns.
  • Handle recruitment training scheduling performance evaluations and employee development.
  • Foster a positive work culture and ensure high team performance.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Kansas.
  • Minimum of two years of pharmacist experience.
  • One year of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in retail or mailorder pharmacy preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of 340B programs is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in pharmacy.
