Job Description
We currently have an opening for a student to fill a Coop position to begin in Fall 2025 at our Brookfield WI office (approximately 10 miles west of downtown Milwaukee). We are looking for students with an interest in gaining practical engineering experience from experienced project managers engineers and technicians through onthejob training on real projects. During this time you will be encouraged to hone your problemsolving abilities and your develop technical skills.
Our Coop program consists of 3 coop terms (summer can count as a term). raSmith Coops receive extensive training and mentorship throughout their work terms. This program serves as a gateway to a fulltime position with raSmith after graduation.

Municipal Coop Primary Responsibilities:
On any given day our coop students could be working on the following:
- Roadway design
- Utility (stormwater sanitary) design
- Flow monitoring and permit related activity

Municipal Coop Skills and Requirements:
Qualified Students must meet the following requirements:
- Must have completed the Sophomore Year of a 4 year Bachelor of Science Program in Civil Engineering at a U.S. accredited college or university
- Have technical skills to include exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products
- Able to solve basic engineering problems; good decisionmaking skills
- Skilled at planning by accurately scoping out length and difficulty of tasks and projects
- Have excellent communication detail orientation interpersonal skills and be a team player
