What you will do


As a Selling Sales Manager you will be creating business advantage and growing profits through a focus on strategic account management strategies and sales of Johnson Controls product and service offerings. You will make key decisions aimed at actualizing the Johnson Controls corporate mission to exceed the everincreasing expectations of our customer.

How you will do it

  • Manage the area business through the market teams in the sale development delivery and performance assurance of JCI offerings to new and existing customers within their local designated customer base.
  • Analyze local markets and current business performance to ensure strategies are effective in meeting planned profits and recommend adjustments to the plan when necessary.
  • Develop and deliver on long and shortterm strategic objectives for profitability and growth; develop business plans and budgets. Works to grow vertical market sales.
  • Understand the business environment within targeted markets including: growth trends legislation and competitors; drive cash flow through effective of payment terms proactive billing and collections.
  • Establish plan for staffing levels and take action to achieve optimum resource levels.
  • Develop effective leaders and high performance teams utilizing available training and development tools; builds a culture of performance management and individual accountability.
  • Establish and maintain personal longterm relationships with strategically important customers to ensure customer satisfaction and secure new business with acceptable profitable margin.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to examine business performance; lead initiatives that drive improvement and proactive resolution of customer issues.
  • Actively work to increase market penetration across JCI offerings by expanding the scope of work within existing projects and securing new projects.
  • Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards demonstrating a high degree of safety awareness for all Johnson Controls employees and worksitebased subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal State and local legal requirements and operates the Area with the highest business ethics.

Required

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10 years minimum experience.
  • Where legally permissible if hired candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid19 no later than his/her start date unless candidate has a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding he/she from receiving the vaccine.

Preferred

  • Bachelors in engineering business or marketing; MBA preferred.
  • 8 years progressively responsible management experience preferably in building construction or operations.
  • Ability to prioritize work activities based upon financial impact to desired business goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated teambuilding and leadership skills.
  • 8 Years Bachelors Degree
