Job Description100: Graduate students will design teaching materials and revise materials after feedback from the Director of Composition. They will create explanatory documents to enable other teachers to use those materials in their classes as well. All documents materials and explanations will be posted to the FYW Canvas site or otherwise made available to other FYW teachers.

- During the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1 have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2 be preenrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3 be enrolled in summer session or 4 be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments to enroll in 1 credit hour DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Position OverviewTeachers of FirstYear Writing courses who are selected will work on designing developing and documenting teaching materials that benefit the FYW program meet the FYW course goals and serve future teachers.
Per the State of Kansas student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed
maximum appointment and hours worked levels. However concurrent student appointments must be of matching FLSA designation (exempt/salaried or nonexempt/hourly).
