You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailDr. Richard Roth is seeking a highly motivated individual to join his team as a Research Scientist I. This position involves overseeing daily lab operations managing supplies coordinating activities and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The role requires operating and maintaining analytical instruments such as the ThermoFisher EA IsoLink IRMS and Seal Analytical AA500 segmented flow autoanalyzer along with performing calibrations and troubleshooting. Additionally the individual will manage the labs feeforservice operations handling client communications budgeting and service agreements. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing QA/QC programs and supporting research projects.
In this position you will play a key part in supporting agricultural nutrient management research by ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory. Your contributions will have direct impacts on many ongoing studies including two largescale multistate projects and projects focused on enhanced efficiency fertilizers and stable isotopes. This role offers an exciting and innovative opportunity for you to advance scientific understanding in the field.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate daily lab activities including scheduling ordering supplies maintaining inventory and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Operate and maintain highend analytical instruments such as the ThermoFisher EA IsoLink IRMS and the Seal Analytical AA500 segmented flow autoanalyzer performing routine calibrations troubleshooting and repairs.
Implement QA/QC programs to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
Conduct small research projects assist researchers with experimental design and data analysis and collaborate with faculty and students on research initiatives.
Assist with feeforservice program including client communications service agreements and billing.
Provide guidance to undergraduate students in the lab.
This is a term position with opportunity for renewal.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
