NSW Resources (part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development sets strategic policy for the states mineral and energy resources.
As a Policy Officer youll provide strategic policy and legislative advice including undertaking complex research and analysis for the development coordination implementation and review of policies.
Your key accountabilities will include:
This is a great opportunity to get involved in policy development on significant Government issues including building economic opportunities associated with regions that are shifting away from coal and transition to net zero.
Youll need to be someone who is flexible and adaptable can respond quickly when situations change and be confident working within politically sensitive environments.
Youll thrive in a collaborative environment but also be able to also work independently with limited supervision as required.
Youll also have strong communication skills being able to tailor communication to diverse audiences explaining complex concepts clearly and writing fluently in plain English.
